Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assist in liaising with the legal advisor on all legal matters and legal agreements on compliance matters (This includes drafting, reviewing legal documents /letters /opinions etc. as requested by related departments in the company.)
  • Manage all compliance matters as well as coordination across all departments in the company and ensures that the company is operating its business in compliance with the prevailing laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular compliance monitoring reviews to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirement and internal policies.
  • Assist in liaising with the relevant ministry to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement (e.g. licensing application / permit/ certificates) as required.
  • Development, maintenance and continuously improve the organization’s regulatory and operation system to ensure its smooth & efficient operations and towards company's goals.
  • Attend to other miscellaneous tasks as assigned from time to time to support the Corporate Planning department’s operations.
  • Responsible to develop compliance programs, policy, and process, and advising management on the underlying risks.
  • Keep abreast and analyse the laws and regulations for better preparedness in handling and compliance and maintaining closely an inventory of the relevant laws and regulations in this regard.
  • Carry out any other matters/tasks as require by the management from time to time such as drafting, reviewing, and vetting agreements and liaising with government authorities in relation to regulatory compliance matters.
  • Working closely with management and staff to identify and manage the legal and regulatory risks. To perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned to you from time to time.

Qualifications & experience

  • Candidate must possess a degree in Law, Business Administration, or compliance related field
  • Fresh Graduate is encouraged to apply. Have minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a corporate legal department or law firm will be added advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good understanding of legal terms and concepts relevant to documentation and administrative process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong drafting and research skill.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Well verse in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and local dialect (written & spoken) and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pleasant personality and good work ethic will be added advantage.
  • Salary and position will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
