Logistic Operations Manager

The rationale for this request is driven by the following responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and direction to a team of operations supervisors as they oversee daily logistic and warehouse functions.
2. Ensure that operational resources, including equipment and human talent, are properly allocated in relation to daily operational needs.
3. Perform high-level labor-allocation analysis in order to ensure efficient and cost- effective labor distribution. Provide on-going monitoring for compliance to budgetary objectives.
4. Effectively represent the organization toa diverse workforce and nurture a culture of safety, responsibility, and accountability amongst all subordinate staff.
5. Ensure a work environment driven by mutual respect and a focus of shared goals.
6. Serve as a mentor, leader, and team builder.
7. Ensure team compliance to published Company policies, procedures, and standards.
8. Help to create a culture of safety and service from the ground up and ensure compliance to the workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures SOP at all times.
9. Coordinate the efforts of shipping office and operations personnel to ensure that customer order are effectively satisfied.
10. Liaise between subordinate staff and senior management to ensure organizational goals and objectives are effectively communicated and met.
11. Oversee all administrative processes within the distribution center to include generation of shift, labor, and operational reports.
12. Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with all company safety and operational standards.
13. Responsible for overseeing the logistics operations of a third-party logistics provider.
14. Acts as a bridge between the company and the 3PL provider, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and coordination. They work closely with clients to understand their unique requirements, develop tailored logistics solutions, and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance. He or She acts as a central point of contact for all parties involved, facilitating the smooth flow of information, goods, and services.

Academic Education: Master/ Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain / Logistic Management

Language Proficiency: English, Malay and Mandarin (optional)

Professional Experience:

• Min 5 years and above of experience in Logistic management, distribution center environment and 3PL operations
• Extensive supply chain process expertise including inbound receiving, storage, retrieval (full pallets, case pick, layer pick), shipping, transportation, etc.
• Knowledge of RF-enabled, Bar Code / QR Code warehouse technologies.
• Possess strong analytical capabilities to assess complex logistics challenges, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions. The ability to think critically, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions is crucial.
• Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of logistics processes, industry trends, regulations, and best practices is vital for 3PL. Staying updated with the latest advancements in logistics and supply chain management is essential to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition.

Technical & Management Skills:

• Proficiency in relevant software and system (WMS system)
• Knowledge of safety regulations/OSHA
• Technological Proficiency: In today's digital era, proficiency in logistics management software, transportation management systems (TMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is crucial. He or She should be comfortable leveraging technology to optimize supply chain operations.
