Air Liquide Global Export Materials (ALGEM) is the Global Gas Sourcing and Supply Chain Platform of Air Liquide Group for electronic specialty materials and Industrial Merchant materials in APAC for all Air Liquide Affiliates in the world.
Based in Malaysia with antennas in rest of APAC, ALGEM manages sourcing, procurement and international logistics for globally and regionally traded materials (SiH4, NF3, CF4, etc..), all regions included (Asia/Europe/US/Middle-East).
Recently, ALGEM went through various stages of transformation and has the final goal to operate an APAC Centralized Supply Chain Organization focusing on :
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Controller will be in charge of controlling the overall logistics costs for ALGEM ensuring accurate and timely reporting of logistics KPIs, preparing supply chain memos and market analysis. He/She will also be responsible for developing the relationship with freight forwarders and shipping lines in order to consistently ensure reliability of bookings at the agreed quoted pricing.
In her/his mission, the ALGEM Logistics Controller will:
(i) Control the accuracy of the logistics costs invoiced by Logistics Partners vs based quotations
(ii) Ensure the Logistics Gross Margin is in line as defined by ALGEM Management
(iii) Perform frequent Supply Chain Analysis through proactive issuance of memos and Supply Chain Market Study to ALGEM departments and AL Affiliates
(iv) Lead regular operation & performance reviews with the ALGEM Logistics Partners (Freight Forwarders) ensuring respect of the agreements
(v) be in charge of the Logistics KPI for ALGEM, provide analysis on discrepancies and propose improvement plan to reach ALGEM objectives
(vi) Support ALGEM Business developments upon needs from AL Affiliates and internal ALGEM departments

Logistic Costs Control
Control the accuracy of the logistics costs invoiced by the ALGEM Logistics Partners vs based quotations
Drive the ALGEM Logistics efficiencies program for ALGEM and AL Affiliates
Monitor the robustness of ALGEM Logistics costs structure by focusing on : Logistic Gross Margin, Heel Credit improvement, Container Lease & rotation management etc
Actively support the ALGEM Supply Chain Assistant Manager for the Marine Cargo Insurance in close collaboration with the AL Group Corporate Team: submit forecast, monitor claims
Raise purchase requisitions for Container rentals, Logistics costs from ALGEM partners, Marine Cargo Insurance and any Logistics Services invoiced to ALGEM
Supply Chain Analysis
Preparing varous Supply Chain reports:
Logistics KPIs as defined by ALGEM Management (regular and variable upon needs)
Container Heel Credit reports
Supply Chain memo alerts for event
Supply Chain market analysis
Proactively analyse the ALGEM lanes through costs breakdown analysis, costs drivers variation, Logistics Lead Time etc
Freight Forwarder Management
Lead the RFQ with Freight Forwarders every 6 months
Support the ALGEM Supply Chain Management Team in ensuring application of the AL Group Frame agreement with the Freight Forwarders
Operational follow up of Freight Forwarders through management of monthly meeting and KPI to measure the performance
Other: Support to ALGEM Business Development
Provide Logistic quotations upon needs from AL Affiliates / ALGEM departments
Support and be able to back up the Supply Chain Control Team on critical activities (Creation of item codes in ERP, Month End Closing ... etc) when deemed necessary

Solid knowledge in International Logistics Marketing
Experience in Freight Forwarding field.
Job background in data analysis and controlling.
Very organized, rigorous, reliable, Analytical, transparent and diligent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
