What would be the responsibilities for this role?
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing the necessary information and details of the maintenance work plan to ensure that the work is carried out correctly, safely and efficiently:
- Supporting PM Model Implementation by fulfilling technician & maintenance planner role and responsibility
- Inspection Based Maintenance
- Review the PM schedule for the scheduled maintenance activities
- Perform a line pre-inspection to identify any additional maintenance requirement
- Refine the schedule for the planned maintenance day
- Planning and scheduling
- Develop and verify task action steps including standardization
- Engage in WOM and share task lists and resource requirements
- Coordinate availability of manpower, parts, material and equipment
- Coordinate with operations/production to designate the time to perform Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure full-day work load to technical labor including self.
- Issue and ensure closing of work orders.
- Keep up-to-date maintenance records in SAP PM.
- Work scheduling by priority.
- Verify and confirm parts and materials requirement
- Verify and record time to perform the task
- Designate the time period to perform the task
- Report on maintenance performance versus goals.
- Maintain all maintenance reporting records and KPIs charts.
- Prepare job plans and estimates.
- Keep and coordinate documentation
- Develop technical references for SWIS creation
- Lead Pre and Post Preventive maintenance meeting
- Maintenance execution
- Execute planned and scheduled maintenance for electrical/instrumentation/PLC
- Generate, plan and execute SFR driven maintenance tasks
- Plan, perform and expand predictive and condition based maintenance (i.e. thermal imaging)
- Support systems
- Engineering and transition store arrangement strategy to ease finding spare parts
- To move Liquid store and Transition store items to Engineering store.
- Participate in store item count
- Conduct training of developed maintenance tasks execution and knowledge sharing on PLC and instrumentation via SGMs
- Update maintenance procedures, task frequencies, corrective criteria and addition or deletion of maintenance tasks.
- Develop, implement and sustain site wide lubrication program
- Reducing UPDT
- Attend to electrical/instrumentation/PLC related downtimes for timely uptime
- Conduct RCAs (5 Whys and Fishbone) and close the forward actions to reduce repeated downtimes
- Conduct Kaizens to solve abnormalities
- Attends WOM to present a planned maintenance schedule, task and resources. Attends SDM with technicians and Planned Maintenance Weekly Meetings with Maintenance Engineer.
- Understands plant’s electrical grid and setup and supports and develops where necessary the maintenance requirements.
- Supports as an electrical resource during absenteeism or weekends.
- Participates in EOHS and Energy walkabouts. Closes identified gaps in a timely fashion.
- Identify and implement CI projects to reduce UPDT and AML by increase efficiencies
- Complete projects handover by taking over equipment maintenance and understanding new equipment and systems. PLCs, instrumentation and plant systems understanding and upkeep.
- Support Engineering Projects
- Weekend work and shift assignments when needed
- Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in engineering and maintenance field within FMCG Industries
- General knowledge of maintenance engineering processes; i.e. have basic knowledge of cost driver and performance killer analysis, preventive maintenance, critical spare parts selection, item segmentation & inventory management, asset performance management
- Proficient in English in both written and spoken
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Good trouble shooting and strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
- Reading, developing and drawing circuit diagrams
- Accessing and understanding PLC (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens & Others) & DCS
- Troubleshooting equipment using PLC and DCS
- Maintenance and repair of machines of different brands and plant utilities (hands-on required). Utilities include an electric steam boiler, compressed air systems, hot water systems, centralized and de-centralized chiller systems, heating systems, etc.
- Planned maintenance systems
- Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) or Google Apps will be advantageous
- Understanding AutoCAD drawing. Able to produce AutoCAD drawings will be advantageous
- Chargeman certification will be advantageous
