This is a governance individual contributor role, with key responsibilities for facilitating the FCSO Business Review Meetings, to ensure that there is consistent engagement and connectivity across all FCSO business, functions and CFCC stakeholders, to enable FCSO and its stakeholders to manage financial crime risk in a robust and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities Strategy
  • Support the delivery of the strategic agenda for FCSO Performance, Planning & Governance.
Business
  • Responsible for effective governance and reporting matters for FCSO Business Review Meetings. Support the reporting of FCSO operational performance metrics for review with Group Business and Functions.
Processes
  • Support the design of the format and be responsible for the preparation of meeting pack contents to facilitate high quality reporting to the FCSO Business Review Meetings (BRM), driving consistency and standardisation of data where necessary.
  • Responsible for effective facilitation of the FCSO Business and Functions BRMs.
  • Responsible for preparation of the BRM packs, request for information, review materials submitted for completeness, and follow up with information providers.
  • Write meeting minutes and document actions following the BRMs and track all actions to closure.
People & Talent
  • As an individual contributor, develop and implement a personal growth plan with the People Leader.
Risk Management
  • Be aware of and understand the regulatory framework in which the Group operates.
  • Application of regulations, best practices, policies and standards related to FCSO and changes to business activities and products.
  • Able to Identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the Group.
Governance
  • Support the development of and be responsible for maintenance of governance related artefacts such as the BRM Departmental Operating Instruction (DOI), BRM checklist and BRM training plan/pack.
  • Support the timely reporting of new and emerging business management issues to senior management.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications
  • EDUCATION: University degree with at least 5 years of working experience, preferably in governance, business management and planning or risk management.
  • TRAINING: Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Prior experience with developing presentation packs preferred.
  • LANGUAGES: English. Proven ability to write coherent meeting minutes, papers or reports or proficiency in data and reporting would be an added advantage. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to negotiate internally with senior stakeholders.

  • Financial Crime and related Operational Risk Policies and Standards
  • Surveillance processes (including Screening and Monitoring)
  • Business Performance Management (Knowledge of technologies, techniques, and practices for the use of business intelligence; ability to monitor and adjust business processes for internal and cross-organisational in near real-time).
  • Process Improvement (Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products, and services)
  • Data Gathering and Reporting (Knowledge of and ability to utilise tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data)
  • Effective Presentations (Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality
