This role is integral to ensuring that the entity financial operations are conducted smoothly and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The role required to provide the financial expertise necessary to support both day-to-day operations and align to Group long-term strategic planning. AMPM Pharmacy Sdn Bhd is wholly owned by PMG Pharmacy Sdn Bhd (whereby PMG Pharmacy has 110 outlets nationwide).

The responsibilities include:

Financial Operations & Reporting Management:

  • Transaction Processing: Manage a team of 7 executives for the processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory accounting.
  • Reconciliation: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, including bank reconciliations and inter-company accounts. The full set accounting process ensures that all financial activities are accurately recorded and that the financial statements reflect the true financial position of the organization
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and summaries for management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Cash Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and optimize cash usage across the Group.
  • Budget Management & Forecasting: Support financial forecasting efforts by analysing historical data and trends to predict future financial performance.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, including auditors, to address financial queries and issues

Technology, Compliance and Controls:

  • Internal Controls: Develop and enforce internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • System Integration & Technology Utilization: Ensure that financial systems and tools are effectively integrated with other business systems for accurate data flow and reporting by leveraging on Microsoft Business Center.

Job Requirement / Qualification:

  • Advance Diploma or Degree in Accountancy and professional accreditation with ACCA, ASCPA, CIMA, MICPA, MIA or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in managerial position in related field such as retailing industry with relevant years of managing a small team.
  • Sound knowledge of Financial Accounting Standard and the relevant statutory requirements.
  • Ability to speak Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin fluently
