Your Mission
- Supervising the maintenance of full set of accounts for designated plantation companies, including income and deferred tax computation and statutory audited accounts.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company and its subsidiaries.
- Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
- Prepare monthly and annual reports on expenditures and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Preparation of financial statements and management reports for designated plantation companies and ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
- Supervise the maintenance of SAP FICO for designated plantation companies.
- Ensure that the detailed accounts (including those at the estates and mills) are properly maintained in accordance with Group Procedures and Authorities (GPA), Plantations Division’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), applicable accounting standards issued by the Malaysian.
- Accounting Standards Board (MASB) and other generally accepted accounting practices.
- Liaise with external auditors for the audit of designated plantation companies, including the preparation of audited statutory accounts.
- Develops and implements new processes and procedures to enhance the workflow and productivity of the department.
- Performing duties as directed by superiors from time to time.
- Advise staff on the handling of routine and non-routine financial reporting transactions.
- Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.
- Protects company’s privacy, integrity and value by keeping information confidential.
Ideal Candidate
- Professional Accountancy Qualification and Degree in Accountancy.
- 7 years preferably in financial accounting and/or audit. Tier -1 ERP knowledge is compulsory.
- 2 years managerial position.
