Expected to lead the innovation and growth of the RTE food category in the company This role requires a unique blend of culinary expertise, food technology/science knowledge, and data-driven decision-making to develop new food concepts, analyze market trends, and optimize product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Innovation & R&D
- Develop new ready-to-eat (RTE) and convenience food items tailored to market trends and consumer preferences.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality product development.
- Optimize existing recipes and improve production efficiency.
- Sales & Data Analytics
- Analyze sales performance, consumer trends, and competitor insights to identify opportunities for growth.
- Conduct GAP analysis to pinpoint potential food categories and market expansion areas.
- Develop data-driven product development hypotheses to improve sales and customer engagement.
- Merchandising & Market Expansion
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations team to ensure seamless product launches.
- Develop innovative pricing, positioning, and promotion strategies.
- Identify and implement food trends that align with Korean and local consumer preferences.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet food safety regulations, quality standards, and cost parameters.
- Work with suppliers and production teams to maintain consistent product quality and supply chain efficiency.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum5 years of experience in R&D chef roles, food production R&D, or food development within the F&B or retail sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food production processes, product formulation, and ingredient functionality.
- Familiarity with Korean and local food trends is a plus.
- Analytical Skills:
- Experience in sales data analysis, market research, and product performance evaluation.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and product development.
