Your Mission
Provide guidance and direction for the planning and implementation of the Sustainability Management System to achieve higher standards and compliances. To plan, improve and execute any health safety & environment (HSE) improvement programs pertaining to the key major risk group wide.
Your Role
- Develop and update Group HSE Policies, Manuals, Procedures, and Standards for implementation across the group.
- Maintain the HSE risk register and legal compliance register. Advise management on statutory requirements and HSE best practices.
- Prepare and maintain Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRP) under Business Continuity Management (BCM), including periodic testing and activation of the Crisis Management Team (CMT) when needed.
- Review and communicate on major incidents to senior management.
- Act as secretary for Management Review Meeting with senior management, including the preparation prior to the meeting.
- Deliberate and review on HSE-related reports, including PLC, Board, annual, and sustainability reports.
- Review and monitor on Life Saving Rules (LSR) and Consequence Management (CM) implementation, in consultation with stakeholders.
- Develop and roll out Journey Management Plan (JMP) guidelines across the group.
- Liaise with the stakeholder related to Construction and Facility Management.
- Standardize incident investigation methods and ensure group-wide HSE compliance through training and competency development.
- Identify and support training needs for critical HSE functions.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on HSE improvement initiatives and development projects.
- Liaise with authorities and agencies (e.g., DOSH, DOE, NIOSH, SOCSO, MIHA) and collaborate with universities on HSE-related studies and product development in the plantation sector.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in any related field
- Safety and Health Officer Certificate (NIOSH or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of working experience and 5 years of experience managing HSE unit.

- HSE related Legal Requirements
- Integrated Management System (ISO 45000, ISO 14000, ISO 9001)
- Energy Management System ISO 5001
- Safety Health Officer Certificate
- Ergonomic Trained Person (ETP)
