Mandarin Translator for Legal and Marketing Industries

Job Overview

Elite Asia is in search of dedicated and enthusiastic freelance translators to enhance our linguist team. The ideal candidates will play a vital role in delivering translations that meet our clients’ expectations across various sectors, including Legal, Banking and Finance, Media, and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately complete translation assignments within stipulated deadlines.
• Ensure responsiveness to job inquiries and requests within one hour during office hours.
• Achieve a minimum daily translation capacity of 1,200 words and a weekly capacity of 6,000 words or more.
• Indicate availability for translation projects on weekends and public holidays, if applicable.
  
  

Required Skills

• High proficiency in English and Mandarin/Chinese, specifically in the dialects of Singapore and Malaysia.
• Capability to post-edit machine translation content to a human translation standard.
• Strong organizational abilities and an aptitude for managing multiple assignments.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years of translation experience is preferred, though fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in any of the following sectors is advantageous: Advertising or Marketing, Government, Education, Gaming, Legal, Industrial and Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Medical, Retail and E-commerce, Technology, Travel and Hospitality.
