Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Job Description

• Set up tool qualification criteria and implement monitoring through Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
• Develop and validate the optimal measurement scheme for variable, attribute, or functional testing.
• Ensure engineering team is trained on recipe maintenance, tool recovery, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for the assigned tools.
• Collaborate with Engineering Ops and/or Application teams to optimize tool maintenance schedules and utilization
• Work with Process team to enhance inline detection, improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce tool measurement variability and improve machine availability.
• Work proactively to problem solve with yield or quality impact on our products through development of measurement recipes that can provide quick and accurate feedback on the product integrity.
• Support Fab through data analysis, providing knowledgeable summations of results and recommendations on how to proceed with process changes, equipment availability improvements and cost reduction work.
• Develop a basic understanding of the manufacturing and support systems and site culture.
• Begin to identify, and work with leadership to prioritize, opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrate an understanding of current practices and specifications and develop an actionable plan for continuous improvement, yield improvement, cost savings, projects, etc.
• Develop and implement a migration strategy from preventive to predictive maintenance.
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor / Master Degree, Majoring in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Automation or equivalent.
• With at least 5 -7 years of related working experience in Test or AOI experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent knowledge in mechanical/electrical design or software. Experience in Lean Manufacturing & Product/Process development are added advantage.
• Possess good interpersonal / effective communication skills to able to interface with internal/external customer with good command of English. Articulate technically and ability to simplify depending on audience.
• Hands on in recipe development for inspection and measurement workstation preferred.
• Experience in Fab Process, Wafer test or Backend engineering process or package development preferred.
• Experience with equipment from Electroglas, Accretech, Camtek, CEI, FETTEST, PowerTech & Aemulus is an added advantage.
• Good technical knowledge in component test and/or module manufacturing process.
• Good data analysis, statistical analysis, data interpretation skills.
• Possess strong foundation in statistical concepts and techniques including gage repeatability and reproducibility, process capability, sampling plans, and confidence intervals.
• Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong project leadership, organization, and excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of safety, health, and environmental areas.
• Strong Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in leading teams with an emphasis on project leadership fundamentals, effective communication, and spending justification.
• Equipment engineering skills with solid experiences in resolving tool related challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of Predictive and Preventive Maintenance techniques.
