Role And Responsibilities

• Mechanical Systems Management: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within our Data Centre facilities.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Support local site DCO teams and lead troubleshooting efforts for complex Mechanical systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools and processes to continuously optimize the performance of mechanical systems. Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response procedures for mechanical incidents. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and minimize impact during emergencies.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage expertise and best practices in mechanical systems. Share knowledge and provide training to enhance the overall competency of the organization.
• Global Remit: Support mechanical operations across various regions, with a particular focus on APAC and wider territories. Adapt strategies and solutions to meet regional requirements and regulations.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in mechanical systems, preferably in Data Centre or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, installation practices, and maintenance procedures.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting complex mechanical systems and implementing effective solutions.
• Experience in system monitoring and optimization, with proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in APAC and other global regions is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of regional regulatory requirements and operational challenges.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support global projects and initiatives.
