Nature and scope

This position will be base at Banting facility, will requires the candidate to perform day-to-day operation & maintenance activities at Air Products facilities at Centre MY region (i.e. Banting, Westport, Kuantan, ShahAlam) – SMR plant, GenGas plants, H2 Generator (PHG) and N2 Generator, Transfill facilities. The incumbent shall follow work instruction for startup/shutdown plant/equipment; with specified quality met and maintain/improve the plant reliability.

• The person shall perform routine and breakdown maintenance activities to maintain plant machineries and equipment in reliable and efficient running condition.
• The candidate shall obtain NIOSH confine space qualification to carry out confine space work in the plants. Qualification – AESP and ES/AGT.
• In the event of operation team manpower shortage, the person shall work in shift to perform operation activities which include but not limited to startup / shutdown / plant capacity adjustment / process parameter change.
• The person will ensure all safety and ISO procedures are adhered to at all time.
• When require, the person will need to provide mechanical support to commissioning team in South East Asia Region.
  
  

Principal Accountabilities

• To be responsible for daily plant maintenance (schedule/breakdown) on all company plants so that plant downtime is kept at a minimum.
• To perform alignment and overhaul on machinery equipment. ie pump to motor, fan to motor. Ensure minimum vibration on equipment.
• To perform regular machinery condition monitoring [i.e. vibration check, temperature, sound check, oil top up, oil replacement, greasing and etc], assess their reliability and inform plant engineer/manager of any abnormalities.
• To be responsible for proper and schedule maintenance / repairs procedures / operations have been carried out and documentation been filled up and kept.
• To carry out periodic preventive maintenance on plant, pipeline. Practice good housekeeping at customer site, workshop and plant areas and follow safety practices.
• Follow ISO9001 procedures and work instruction, work with superior to maintain and improve the process.
• To ensure proper care of maintenance of tools and its allocation. He is also responsible for the workshop housekeeping
• Make record and document plant equipment data
• To participate in plant turnaround maintenance activities, plant startup and shutdown.
• To report any abnormalities in plant operating condition/issues to shift supervisor/plant engineer
• Responsible for plant safety equipment inspection as delegated by superior
• To participate in housekeeping and safety activities like BSP which are organized by plant management.
• To function as Food Safety Management Team Member for IG in MY
• Facilitate audits processes to assess the compliances of AP On site operations activities against to AP’s standard or relevant applicable standards(i.e., ISO standards, AP Corporate EHS audits, customer audits).

Basic Requirements

• Min. 3 years’ experience on mechanical and machinery related work in the O&G or Chemical industry.
• Alternatively, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance.
• Basic MS Windows and Office will be preferred.
