The Role

The dataxet:nama team is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our Insights Team as a Media Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analysing both mainstream media articles and social media posts by tagging them with relevant sentiments, categories, key messages, and other pertinent information. Your work will directly contribute to our understanding of media trends, public perception and brand reputation across various media platforms.

You will also dive deep into a whole lot of data to uncover patterns and trends in media activity and consumer behaviour, and then translate your findings to tell our clients a compelling story.

What Youâll Do

• Data cleansing â You will cleanse data and perform quality control checks on datasets
• Data coding â Youâll tag mainstream media articles and social media posts with relevant âcodesâ (e.g. sentiments, categories, key messages etc.)
• Data analysis and report writing â Youâll draft and prepare reports using data from our proprietary tools, with the ultimate goal of discovering what is driving media/brand activity and consumer behaviour, across both mainstream and social media sources.
  
  

Job Requirements

What Youâll Bring

• An excellent command of the English language (ability to read and understand Malay/Chinese media is a plus)
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• An interest in consumer behaviour
• A passion for storytelling
• Out-of-this-world attention to detail
• Experience in working with large sets of data using Excel or other statistical softwares
