Your Job

To work closely with Process Engineer and Toolmakers in order to improve mold performance towards achieving lower mold downtime and higher productivity.

Our Team

Part of Molding department, you will work along with Maintenance Technician, Quality Control, Production Supervisors, Planners, Spare Controller and others.

What You Will Do

Your main task will include to repair and maintain mold tooling while also to:

• Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in press or must be removed to Tool Room for essential maintenance and repair work.
• Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
• Identify and escalate any tooling that has the potential to cause quality issues.
• Ensure company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced.
• Identify spares requirements and log usage.
• Document and update mold history and other work records.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
• Control spare insert usage/cost to meet budgeted goal.
• Manage weekly schedule on mold Change Over, Set-Up, Air vent Cleaning and Repair efficiently.
• Maintain molds in good condition, troubleshoot and improvement on problematic mold.
• Maintain good SA for all related mold.
  
  
  

Who You Are

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Toolmaker
• Fresh graduate with Certificate or Diploma in Tool and Die Engineering are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge in injection molding process.
• Knowledge in mold structure and mold repair.
  
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Practical hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) process.
• Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work.
• Experience and hand-on in cavity pressure sensor will be add advantages.
