The People Operations Business Partner (Pops BP) plays a strategic role in aligning business objectives with partners and employees in designated departments. You will provide people expertise and counsel to management, covering a full range of HR disciplines including organisational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, and workforce planning. This is an onsite role based in Singapore, reporting to the Head of People Operations Business Partner.

Get to Know the Role
The People Operations Business Partner (Pops BP) plays a strategic role in aligning business objectives with partners and employees in designated departments. You will provide people expertise and counsel to management, covering a full range of HR disciplines including organisational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, and workforce planning. This is an onsite role based in Singapore, reporting to the Head of People Operations Business Partner.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Strategic Business Partnering
- You will provide foundational HR support and guide managers on employee relations, performance management, and rewards.
- You will act as a liaison between HR and employees, ensuring business needs are addressed promptly.
- You will offer independent, operational-level HR advice to managers, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- You will address day-to-day people issues and risks within the team and propose HR solutions.
- You will foster a people-oriented culture that emphasises inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.
- You will support the implementation of small-scale change initiatives, ensuring employees understand the impact and benefits of these changes.
- You will guide and support managers in supporting engagement and participation in cultural initiatives, reinforcing company values and behaviours.
- You will support the workforce planning process for specific teams, ensuring resource allocation meets short-term needs.
- You will identify individual skill gaps and recommend training or development initiatives to improve performance.
- You will support managers in performance management processes to align individual goals with team priorities.
- You will use basic HR data to inform decision-making, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- You will report and communicate relevant People metrics to ensure alignment with team objectives.
- In delivering the above day-to-day activities, you will actively use generative AI tools to analyse basic data and feedback, generate ideas, draft simple communications, and automate repetitive tasks related to policy interpretation and execution.
- You will enhance productivity by streamlining HR operations through AI-driven solutions, while maintaining a strong human touch in People business partnering.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 5 or more years of experience in HR Operations or business partnering, demonstrating expertise in a similar role.
- A solid understanding of HR operational processes, including performance management and rewards implementation.
- Strong ability to interpret HR data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and ensure consistent policy application.
- Experience in resource allocation, identifying skill gaps, and supporting talent development initiatives.
- Comfortable working alone or with a team, and able to handle change and uncertainty with ease.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations in the markets we operate in.
- Fluency and knowledge of the cultural landscape in Southeast Asia/Asian markets are advantageous.
