Planning Officer

Job Descriptions:-

• Manage master planning, material processes, and systems to prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
• Plan and execute production and delivery schedules.
• Assist in creating and releasing production orders and ensure on-time closing of production orders using ERP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to update demand forecasts.
• Prepare weekly operational reports on production performance, highlighting issues and bottlenecks that may impact the production schedule and materials planning.
• Review and control production progress, following up with relevant departments to eliminate delays by expediting material shipments.
• Work closely with purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure the on-time receipt and delivery of materials and finished goods shipments.
• Monitor and coordinate material shortages, expediting and ensuring material availability to support the production plan.
• Analyze, prepare, and submit monthly/quarterly reports on inventory, aging valuation, order delivery, and service provider performance.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving existing processes, procedures, and key performance metrics.
• Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and maintain minimum safety stock levels to ensure operational continuity.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from suppliers to the point of fit.
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
• Manage day-to-day order management and delivery schedules.
• Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
• Perform any other ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Job Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., ERP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Well-verse in Mandarin is an added advantage.
