Principal Engineer, Quality Excellence (QMS)

Your Job

The Principal Engineer, Operational Excellence will focus on ensuring the effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and management of documented information within the plant. Key responsibilities include managing internal audits for ISO9001 and IATF16949, driving and overseeing the document control system, and coordinating and leading customer audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

• Ensure the effectiveness and alignment of Quality Management Systems (QMS) with the company's vision and goals
• Enhance the documentation system, ensuring compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISMS (ISO27001)
• Manage document control, ensuring timely updates and access to documents
• Support QMS, Quality Excellence, and Value Creation Projects by driving policies and procedures
• Guide procedure owners, manage and enhance auditor skills, and organize audits
• Coordinate customer audits and manage quality documentation.
• Drive non-conformance improvements, act as a product compliance representative, and perform additional duties as assigned
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Degree in Science or Engineering Discipline
• Strong experience in QMS operations within a similar position in a manufacturing area
• Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and good interpersonal skills for providing guidance
• English proficiency
• Auditing skills
  
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Certified Quality Engineer Certification
• Familiarity with ISO9001, VDA6.3, and IATF16949 requirements
• Experience in a managerial position/ability to develop in a managerial role
• Knowledge of SAP
• Familiarity with document database development
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
