Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall, in-charge for ME Assy, Front of Line, and Middle of Line/OSA assembly which includes optical alignment processes and passive attach of optical components.
- Responsible for making sure process yield target and UPH target are met and are in control.
- Manages current product ramp up, making sure processes are ready, qualified, documented and in control.
- Manages new product transfers from NPI to ME team, making sure process are ready, qualified, and documented.
- Conducts DFM, FMEA.
- Conducts in-depth failure analysis and works with internal and external support teams including RnD as needed for any process or quality issues related to function.
- Continuous Process capability/CPK improvement projects.
- Yield improvement/scrap reduction projects.
- HPU/UPH improvement projects, Cost saving projects.
- Manages the whole Assy, FOL, and MOL team and (technicians and engineers), and does other activities as directed by immediate superior.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics/Electrical) or its equivalents with at least 7 years of relevant work experience in electronics/semi-con manufacturing specifically on process engineering.
- Experience in optical alignment/ optical sub assembly is highly preferred.
- Leadership capabilities to manage a team and be able to lead and drive improvements independently.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving.
- Work effectively with core team members of Coherent Corp.
- Expert in SPC, DOE, FMEA, DFM.
- This role is 100% onsite.
