Procurement Executive/Officer

About the role

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Executive/Officer to join our team in Samalaju, Bintulu, Sarawak. As a contract role, this position is integral to the company's purchasing, procurement and inventory management functions, supporting the overall operations and growth of the business.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and execute the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of materials and supplies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Analyse and report on procurement and inventory data to support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or inventory management role, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industry
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience using procurement and inventory management software
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive, customer-focused approach
• Relevant qualifications in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field would be an advantage
