This role’s purpose is to support in driving forward the specialty fat product development, for Bunge Asia, especially dairy fat equivalent solutions. It involves managing the product development processes pertaining to new or improved products, providing technical data, analysing processing conditions, setting up products specification and monitoring customer feedback during new product launch. In addition, it involves the internal initiated process improvement and new product development.

- Understand customer's needs and expectation from existing and prospective customers by working closely with Technical Services / Commercial/ Production/ Quality Food Safety team to meet customers' needs,
- Be involved in monitoring trial production and coordinate with production personnel on the product and process recipe, make sure successful development and launch.
- Implement product and process development projects and to ensure projects are carried out in an accurate and timely manner. Ensuring good record keeping.
- Provide technical expertise / support in new products, from both a processing and product development perspective, also evaluate new raw materials / additives / process aids for production use
- Work closely with Technical Services /Product Application to find out the potential application opportunities from fats perspective
- Know well about all operation of pilot plant equipment.
- Take part in lab cleanness and equipment maintenance, ensure good housekeeping and maintain and improve safety
- Keep developing technical, nutritional and marketing knowledge.
- Provide assistance during investigation of quality issue when necessary.
- Manage assigned projects and monitor critical projects in the pipeline.
- Carry out other responsibilities assigned by Management
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Food Science/Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years working experience in edible fats and oil related field.
- Familiar with fats/oils chemistry, processing and applications know-how are highly desirable. Able to conceptualize new ideas and commercialize new product range.
- Strong problem solving, organization, good interpersonal and time management skills with ability to lead activities. Working independently, as well as in a team is required.
- Has good interpersonal skills, confident and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally in English.
