Arla SEA has seen strong growth in our Retail business, and to help us continue reaching our future ambition, we are looking for a Product Manager to drive our Retail product journey to the next level.
Based in Kuala Lumpur in the SEA regional team, the Product Manager will work closely with market leads, regional marketing managers, and product managers to drive the Retail product agenda. The role will take on selected special projects according to business needs, as well as oversee the workflows of the overall Retail product management team to ensure strong execution and timely delivery. This position will be a 2 year contract.

Key Responsibilities
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT & STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT
- Handle stakeholder requests in a fast and effective manner (e.g product, packaging, COGS, Shelf life, MOQ, Thresholds, Capacity, lead times, recipes, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional cooperation and communication between category, market, supply chain and support functions (NPD, Procurement, Packaging, Quality, Legal etc.).
- Maintain and use a project portfolio overview to track and prioritize product assortment relevant activities.
- Lead and participate in regular brand, dairy, supply chain, PRM, project coordination meetings.
- Scope and clarify new business initiatives. Secure alignment between category, commercial and Supply Chain strategies & capabilities.
- Lead and drive decision-making throughout Spring Go phases and ensure cross functional coordination and feasibility checks.
- Work in partnership with Global and Local Product Management and site to deliver projects and changes according to agreed requirements and timelines
- For Go Execute, ensure resource commitment from all stakeholders and that a full timeline is in place. Challenge assumptions and highlight risks and mitigation plans.
- During all projects, co-lead to ensure we reach all critical milestones , do launch follow ups and corrective actions. Escalate issues when needed.
- Lead selected smaller projects (eg. MROs, smaller redesigns, reformulations, sustainability & packaging projects, supplier changes and contingency challenges)
- Support or co-lead larger projects (e.g. bigger redesigns, market driven capex, new packaging formats, sustainability initiatives, bigger products moves/ NPD projects, dairy closures and complexity reduction initiatives
- Coordinate tenders (feasibility, options, COGS)
- Day-to-day management of product managers and assistants to ensure smooth delivery of projects (onboarding, overseeing tasks and workflows, managing capacity, etc).
- Secure efficient collaboration, prioritization and execution across Product Management roles (Product Managers, - Coordinators & - Administrators) and provide leadership upwards.
- Ensure compliance with Arla Foods standard processes, systems, policies and legal requirements
- Lead process excellence efforts to strengthen the Product Management foundation.
- Act as the spider in the web and as a proactive, solution-focused business partner. Maintain a stakeholder map.
- Advanced expertise (minimum 6 years) within FMCG, product management experience will be a strong advantage
- Product/Supply Chain knowledge and experience with acting in an international matrix organization preferred
- Strong collaboration skills, service-oriented attitude and partnership mindset
- Skilled in both written and oral communication, with ability to drive decision-making
- Ability to conduct interactions confidently and clearly communicate to all levels, both internally and externally
- Highly structured and organised, with strong attention to detail required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint, and experience in relevant product management tools
