Product Manager (Power Train Solutions)

Position Summary: This will drive the solution of data centre design architecture in such a way so as to generate and maximise Vertiv Power portfolio penetration with a clear differentiating skill that helps customers to design infrastructure around Vertiv products. The position is to establish Vertiv a leader as Power Management solution provider in Data Center space. The position requires to develop Asia technical capability and Vertiv expertise in the space and develop the business. At the initial stage, the position requires coordination with Sales/ Account Management team, respective product managers. Position will need to get the message across customers design team, present to clients and their engineering team. The position will create a compelling strategy to grow Power Management business and drive pull thru sales
Responsibilities:
- The responsibility includes supporting customers and the consultants in designing end to end Power Management solution that supports complex critical infrastructure, support application engineering support with help of factory/product managers
- Work Closely with consultants and customers to hard spec Vertiv to differentiate ourselves from competition
- The role is to develop Application engineering, solution differentiating, pitching integrated solutions in the region.
- The responsibility includes understanding of market size, have market studies, collecting Voice of Customers, market requirements, and work with engineering to develop winning integrated product and solutions.
- The role includes enabling sales team so that the team can effectively pitch to the client independently. Create TCO stories for customer to select Vertiv as a trusted advisor
- Create Competitive strategy and position our products in the market.
- Support technical queries and work with internal design team to provide full solutions to customer.
- Help sales team to technically present to customer
- The role requires to create and develop the organization within the matrix structure that is best suited to grow the business. This role requires travelling and maximum customer interface
- The role is responsible to identifying product gap, decide strategy, drive demand with help if sales org and marketing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering, preferably with experience of working in data centre/critical infrastructure field
- Minimum 10 years' or more experience in electrical system design market in SEA/NA and/or ANZ
- Preferably knowledgeable in current technology trend, AI powered solution need, power distribution and UPS product for more than 7 years
- In-depth knowledge of our competitors' landscape, Standards and design practices, emerging technologies in Asia market,
- Knowledge of Data Center applications in power system design and architecture
- Technical presentation skills and skilled in customer and consultant interaction; public speaking
- People management capabilities (preferable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with peers to work in matrix organization
- Good planning capability
- Good written, oral communication and presentation skills, with experience working with people across multi-cultural environment.
- Self-motivated and work on own initiative; good team player
- Action- and results-orientated with a passion for success
- Learning agility and the ability to stay abreast of trends and strategic landscape.
- Display strong communication and teamwork attributes working with all internal and external stakeholders
