  • Prioritizes safety standard and practices of the processes, machines and equipment at the specific worksite by continuously assessing on-the-job hazards and to develop control programs to mitigate or eliminate safety risks and work hazards.
  • Provides engineering support to ensure that manufacturing is carried out (and the end product is produced) in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while still maintaining overall product quality.
  • Analyzes the root causes of quality issues of product output of the assigned areas and work closely with Quality department for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Leads in identifying best-practices by investigating production related issues and analyze root causes for preventive measures and implement/recommend for continuous improvement, Kaizen and 'Poka-Yoke' system.
  • Acts as technical expert in technical analysis and provide advisory related to products, process, preventive maintenance and cost analysis for assigned areas.
  • Leads engineering projects to ensure in an efficient and effective manner by involving actively in assigned projects including but not limited to up-keeping machines efficiency, new machines installation, new products launches and process improvement.
  • Responsible on process for new platform launches or R&D products and evaluate the feasibility, cost, process complexity and lead time impact. Lead initial test run and ensure smooth first mass production run.
  • Provides engineering-related training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals and organizes work plan from time to time.
  • Participate proactively in relevant meetings and discussion on matters related to both day-to-day and ad-hoc issues.
  • Keep abreast with the latest product and process specification by reviewing current and expected performance consistently.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures, supervises and educate direct reports related to basic labor legislation, workplace discipline, work performance and on-the-job-training from time to time.

The Production Engineer is responsible for coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets in volume, quality, and timeliness are met efficiently. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, identifies process bottlenecks, and implements corrective actions to enhance productivity. The engineer works closely with production teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while maintaining smooth workflow on the shopfloor. Additionally, the role involves providing technical guidance and support for new product launches and process enhancements.
