Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed production schedules based on project requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and procurement teams to align production with installation timelines.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate project changes, material delays, or machine breakdowns.
- Review Bill of Materials (BOM) and coordinate material availability.
- Work closely with procurement to ensure timely arrival of imported components (aluminum profiles, glass, gaskets, accessories).
- Plan and track import shipments of raw materials and components from overseas suppliers (e.g., aluminum profiles, glass, hardware).
- Liaise with procurement and freight forwarders on booking, shipping documents, HS codes, and delivery timelines.
- Follow up on customs clearance and resolve delays or discrepancies with forwarding agents or customs brokers.
- Plan and coordinate shipments of finished curtain wall units or components to international clients (e.g., US projects).
- Prepare or verify shipping documents such as packing lists, invoices, and export declarations.
- Ensure compliance with customer shipping instructions, export regulations, and Incoterms.
- Monitor stock levels and minimize overstock or shortages.
- Track daily production progress and identify bottlenecks.
- Generate weekly reports on production performance, material usage, and delivery forecasts.
- Provide status updates to project management and senior leadership.
- Act as a liaison between production, project management, engineering, and warehouse teams.
- Ensure timely communication of schedule changes, priorities, or urgent production needs.
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in production planning, preferably in curtain wall, façade, or building materials manufacturing.
- Ability to read shop drawings and BOMs.
- Familiarity with curtain wall system components and fabrication processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese (spoken and written preferred).
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
