Job Responsibility

  • Metal moulders and coremakers make moulds and cores for casting metal.
  • Tasks include assist senior supervisor in:
  • making moulds by hand or using auxiliary machines on a bench for small metal castings, on the foundry floor, or in a pit for large castings;
  • making cores for use in metal moulds;
  • Cleaning and smoothing moulds, core boxes, and repairing surface imperfections;
  • Moving and positioning work pieces such as mould sections, patterns and bottom boards, using cranes, or signalling others to move work pieces;
  • Positioning patterns inside mould sections and clamping sections together;
  • Cutting spouts, runner holes and sprue holes into moulds;
  • Lifting upper mould sections from lower sections and remove moulded patterns.
  • Machine maintenance
  • Co-ordinate with other colleagues in completing tasks
  • Perform cleaning duty roster in maintaining cleanliness of factory
  • Metal Fabrication, welding, Stamping, installation of mould, Quality Control (QC), packing, tapping

Job Requirements

  • Fresh graduate and PMR or SPM leavers are encourage to apply.
  • Excellent hands-on skills with eye for details
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Positive attitude and responsible character.
  • Pleasant personality with focus on excellence in customer service.
  • Prior working experience will be an added advantage.
  • Self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Possess self-confidence and be able to actively interact with all relevant parties.
