What You’ll Be Doing
As a Production Technologist (PT) you will:
- Ensure high quality PT technical input to activities in the Sarawak Subsurface Team, including but not limiting to surveillance, restoration, optimization of existing well stocks. This involves proactively working together with Well Engineering and Asset teams.
- Manage well integrity for assigned wells, by ensuring the surveillance and maintenance of Well’s Safety Critical Element is completed according to Group and local standard.
- Collaborate with other subsurface discipline in delivering full field reviews, infill and abandonment activities.
- Identify and drive performance improvement initiatives that deliver top-quartile WRFM and ultimate recovery efforts.
- Support Subsurface Lead and WRFM Manager in opportunity maturation and external stakeholder management for technical and budget approval.
We are keen to speak with individuals who have:
- Minimum of 3 years of EP experience with an emphasis on well / reservoir management, and execution of WRFM opportunities.
- Has a university degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Has relevant experience in WRFM and/or opportunity maturation.
- Skilled in core Production Technology competencies; Well performance optimization, well and completion design, well integrity management and design and execution of well interventions with the ability to work independently, as well as challenge and support others.
- Demonstrated track record in delivering production enhancement gains whether downhole or surface optimisation activities
- Good understanding of the risks and technical issues associated with subsurface, wells and surface development opportunities.
- A good understanding of integrated gas systems, gas contracts and associated gas field planning issues. Proficient in IPSM (GAP, Prosper) modelling.
