As our PROGRAM MANAGER III - CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT you’ll support HID’s success by:
Summary:
The Program Manager – Continuous Improvement is responsible for initiating, leading, and executing a range of continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and measurable performance improvements. Key areas of focus include OEE (AQP), VA/VE, and scrap reduction. This role will develop business cases and capital expenditure (Capex) proposals and collaborate with site and global leadership to define a long-term CI strategy aimed at achieving world-class manufacturing standards. He/ she will lead strategic projects managing Time, Scope and Budget as assigned. He/ she will be part of the local management team

Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the Continuous Improvement roadmap for the local operation.
- Develop and execute Kaizen projects to reduce costs, improve OEE, and shorten lead times.
- Coach people in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (incl SPC) and arrange training when needed to achieve goals.
- Support in rolling out SPC within production as well as other process & quality control projects.
- Serve as the Lean Manufacturing Coordinator for the HID Malaysia (MY) site.
- Coordinate the deployment of Six Sigma methodologies across HID MY site.
- Lead the planning and execution of the Kaizen Awards, recognizing outstanding improvement initiatives.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee engagement and idea generation at all levels.
- Drive Operational Excellence projects to elevate site performance to world-class standards.
- Partner with global leaders, manufacturing engineering, and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements with measurable financial and customer impact.
- Utilize CI tools and methodologies (including the "10 Commandments of CI") to eliminate waste, simplify processes, and enhance customer-centricity
- Lead strategic projects/ programs using standardized project and project management approaches to control Time, Scope and Budget.
- Support daily operations and projects across various departments as needed.
- Lead or support Oracle data cleanup projects to ensure system data integrity and accuracy.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum Degree in Engineering
- Significant experience in managing complex projects/ programs and partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred or green belt with willingness to achieve blackbelt.
- Experience in initiating and guiding VA/ VE projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, Viso etc.
