Title: Project Financial Accountant

Location: Kuala Lumpur, MY Job Closing Date: 31 Marc 2025 What will you be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a dynamic role within a busy office environment, supporting various projects. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in Project Accounting in the Oil & Gas, Construction, or similar industries.

The individual will be comfortable working under their initiative and within a team, being able to respond to tight deadlines and deliverables as and when requested by Management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurate monthly SAP close out and Latest Thinking Forecast (LTF)
• Project cash flow reporting
• Project Balance Sheet management - focus on Aged Receivables, Accruals, Unearned and Unbilled accounts
• Monthly & Quarterly variance analysis on project forecast and actuals
• Reporting of monthly Backlog, % Completion, Allowances and Contingency
• Maintenance, and improvement to where required, of Project Finance control environment
• Ensure in-country compliance obligations with regards to WHT,PIT etc are met in a timely manner by working in collaboration with other Business Units/functions
• Liaison with local accountants towards keeping a WHT certificate file including full reconciliation
• Assist on other Tax matters including Tax filings
• Other ad-hoc activities and deliverables as required

What experience would we like you to have?

Required Skills:

• Degree in Accounting
• Hold/or working towards CIMA, ACCA Qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 working experiences in reporting/GL accounting
• Strong in MS Excel and systems skills (SAP)
• Financial and/or Management Accounting experience
• Self-starter with a proactive approach
• Good communication skills
