About the role

As a Project Engineer with Trivo Electronics Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of complex electronic engineering projects. Based in Johor Bahru, Johor, this full-time position will see you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless implementation of innovative solutions that drive the company's strategic objectives.

Summary Description

1. Work with cross-functional team to develop and implement improve solution to achieve lower manufacturing cost and higher product quality.
2. Setup and manage project focusing on process control to determine better process outcome.
3. Carry out initial feasibility study, process evaluation and provide recommendation for improvement.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize PCBA and SMT processes to meet production goals, quality standards, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality control, to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Lead process validation and qualification for new products and equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in terms of yield, cycle time, and process stability.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and on-time engineering document generation, not limit to 8D report, APQP, PPAP, PFEMA, CP, BOM, Work Instruction, Drawing, etc
  • Liaise with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, coordinate activities and provide technical guidance
  • Prepare detailed project plans, track progress and troubleshoot issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Conduct site inspections, testing and commissioning to validate project deliverables
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices
  • Ensure effective implementation of Corrective Action/ Preventive Action which have been identified.
  • Involved in Part Qualification and customer audit.
  • Handle all administrative related tasks for the projects assigned.
  • And any other roles and responsibilities that are assigned by the company from time to time.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PCBA and SMT processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder engineering projects from conception to completion
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in process optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and knowledge of SMT equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good in process problem analyzing and solving skill to solve production issue and to improve yield and product quality.
  • Language required: English, Malay and Chinese
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a must as this job requires the job incumbent to work closely with customers from mainland customer
