Job Responsibility
- Assist in the procurement process by generating purchase orders and tracking their progress from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely availability of materials for construction projects.
- Maintain and update the supplier database, including contact information, pricing, and performance metrics, to facilitate efficient sourcing and vendor management.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to understand material requirements and specifications, ensuring accurate and timely procurement to avoid project delays.
- Support the negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable payment terms, contributing to the overall project budget management.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in implementing inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels at construction sites.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality, ensuring smooth supply chain operations.
- Assist in the procurement process, including generating purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Support the purchasing team in negotiating contracts and securing favorable terms with suppliers.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities and cost savings.
- Translate documents and communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and stakeholders.
