Purchasing Officer

Skyways Technics Asia - Purchasing Officer Support spare sales activities, source and buy from the open market Skyways Technics’ activities regard the trading of aircraft spare parts and the repair of structural aircraft components. Weare looking for a trustworthy and goal-oriented professional, to join our purchasing team, at our facility in Subang, Malaysia. The role is to ensure that spare purchasing requirements are met and that supplier accounts are adequate to facilitate quality and on-time delivery to our customers, most efficiently and cost-effectively. You will report directly to the Purchasing Manager Position Overview:

• Source for new suppliers considering prices, lead times, and quality.
• Ensure that spare trading needs are met.
• Participate in meetings with suppliers.
• Support direct reports as needed.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible service offerings with respect to lead time vs. price and quality.
• Conduct benchmarking exercises.
• Build a preferred supplier listing with primary, secondary, and tertiary options.
• Proactively propose new purchasing channels, concepts, and methods.
• Follow all relevant procedures and policies.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and documented.
• Perform all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Ensure the on-time delivery of parts to Skyways Technics.

Your background The candidate should have a minimum of 1-year of proven work experience in a spare parts purchasing role, ideally focused on the commercial aviation industry Additionally, you have the following skills:

• Excellent communication in English

• Natural negotiation skills

• A positive problem-solving attitude

• Flexible and responsive

• Analytical with attention to detail and performance

• Strong in organization and prioritization

• Strong Excel and IT systems skills

• Technical and engineering understanding
