QUANTITY SURVEYOR

About the role

Tunas Manja Development & Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Kuantan, Pahang. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial success and proper execution of our construction projects. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Measuring and valuing work completed by contractors and subcontractors
• Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Tracking and reporting on project costs to ensure they remain within budget
• Identifying potential cost savings and implementing effective cost control measures
• Preparing progress reports and presenting financial data to project stakeholders
• Providing guidance and support to the project team on commercial and contractual matters

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• 3+years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project controls
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and the project team
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
