About the role

This role will help to assist the existing team on RM testing, shelf life, SKU optimization and regional buying.

Key responsibilities

Raw Materials and packaging:

• To assist Category Technologist for raw materials evaluation including physical, chemical, sensory and shelf-life test.
• To support Category Technologist with raw materials and packaging specifications project.
• To support Category Technologist with raw materials and packaging data collection, entry, and basic analysis.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.

What learnings / exposures will you gain by the end of the Internship?

• Exposure to Raw Material Selection, Spec and Sensory Evaluation Process and Shelf Life Test Protocols.
• Ability to understand New Product Development process from bench development to scale-up and factory operations.
• Exposure to how the real food manufacturing process from raw material governance till finished product production which is safe, legal, and meets customer requirement.
• How to communicate across a diverse organisation with many different cultures, geographies, and preferences.
• Hands-on laboratory skill and analysis of data.

Qualifications and skills

• Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Engineering.
• Strong interest in gaining knowledge of Research & Development of Taste & Nutritional ingredients.
• Adaptable with a willing to learn mind set who is open to be guided by senior team members.
• Good communication, writing and presentation in English & collaboration skills.
• Competent in basic Microsoft Office.
• Innovative, team player, independent, pro-active, confident.
