Compliance Officer

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team as an Regional Compliance Officer overseeing Compliance for the Group. The individual will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for implementing internal controls and overseeing a robust compliance program across all countries.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the senior management to gauge business risk and conduct gap analysis.
  • Train, develop and standardize internal controls and compliance tools based on best practice for key business groups across the Group to ensure consistent risk mitigation protocols. This may include:
    • Review and draft / update policy documents
    • Standardize and digitalize compliance training, testing and certification of internal staff and third parties
    • Set-up / standardize grievance reporting, investigative procedures and compliance reporting
    • Work cross functionally to standardize SOPs and internal controls
    • Develop a compliance audit framework for the group
  • Lead and ensure robust investigation of potential violations and ensure follow-up and closure of corrective actions
  • Lead the compliance auditing process, prepare audit reports and risk mitigation plan
  • Approve / sign off and provide practical solutions on operational issues with potential compliance implications
  • Support due diligence reviews of new acquisitions
  • Assist, plan, organize and manage other audit and compliance ad-hoc projects
Requirements

  • Candidate with at least 5-10 years in Corporate Compliance from leading healthcare MNC, e.g. pharma or medical devices. Regional experience is a plus.
  • Familiar with established compliance frameworks, regulations and permitted CME and marketing arrangements involving hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Familiar with relevant laws and regulations on anti-bribery and corruption, including FCPA and UK Anti-Bribery and PDPA laws.
  • Experienced with digital enabling tools such as online training, testing and certification.
  • Have experience providing pragmatic business advice and be able to harmonize business needs, able to maintain realistic balance among multiple priorities
  • Independent, proactive, able to work minimal supervision with strong written and verbal communication.
  • High degree of professionalism, results-driven and goal oriented. Organized, structured and detail oriented.
