The opportunity
The Regional Head - Southern and East Malaysia is responsible for leading and managing agency sales operations across these regions. This role focuses on executing national strategies at the regional level, driving activation, productivity, recruitment, and supporting agency leaders to achieve business goals. The incumbent will serve as the key liaison between the regional agency force and national leadership, ensuring alignment and performance excellence.

The incumbent will serve as the key liaison between the regional agency force and national leadership, ensuring alignment and performance excellence.
Responsibilities
- Translate national sales strategies into actionable regional plans.
- Drive execution to meet or exceed regional sales and growth targets.
- Lead and support Agency Directors and Leaders in the region.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to build leadership capability.
- Monitor regional sales performance and KPIs.
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
- Drive agent activation and productivity.
- Build strong relationships with agency leaders and top-performing agents.
- Resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Work closely with Agency Recruitment, Product, Marketing, and Training teams to provide agency feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Represent regional needs in national planning and decision-making forums.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards in all agency activities.
- Promote ethical sales practices and high-quality business.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Marketing or related field
- 10 years’ experience in the life insurance industry with a proven track record of agency sales management and demonstrated good working relationships in this field.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proven experience in agency sales or related field
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in performance management, sales & campaign management, and communication.
