The Cross Border Air Freight Team Aims To Build Competitive Logistics Products And Customised Solutions To Support Various Sales Channels In Business Acquisition. Regional Senior Manager, Cross Border (Air) Will Supervise The Overall Ninja Freight Air Freight Operations Activities, Including

  • Sourcing and procurement of air freight solutions, overseeing operations of airfreight products and support the HOD in tender and product implementation.
  • Building and maintaining of strong relationships with key partners to manage lead-time performance and negotiation of services.
  • Developing and managing budgets for air freight operations, monitoring operational expenses, and implementing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining/improving service quality.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to optimise lead times, ensuring objectives are aligned with overall department directions.
  • Driving and developing operational excellence by setting /improving processes and/or procedures within the operations environment to enhance service level.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic sourcing and procurement from carriers and freight partners for competitive air freight rates and customs clearance solutions
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to air freight operations and capacity constraints.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new vendors and documentation of new implementations including vendors' contracts, rates management, SOP and billing details
  • Deep understanding and ability to solution for B2C and B2B airfreight products
  • Promote continuous improvement within the team across operations, initiating innovation and implementing best practices. Clear timeline and clear operational process Proper alignment with stakeholders Expand and build close relationships with carriers and co-loaders
  • Create and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support Commercials, Finance and Opex for new product launches/onboarding of new shippers for existing / new lanes
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders and alignment on performance expectations for solutions provided Ensure all AF SOP/ WI are properly filed and maintained to date Ensure operation associate adherence to SOP/WI guidelines
  • Work with Senior Manager for new vendor acquisition and expanding the breadth of capabilities
  • Develop strong networks and relationships with strategic partners over the region.
  • Source and negotiate price competitive solutions
  • Execute and oversee vendors' onboarding and implementation
  • Ensure that operational requirements and rates are aligned prior to vendor onboarding and go-live
  • Responsible for monitoring vendor service level adherence Derive tender specifications Measurement of vendor’s performance
  • Generate reports for monthly P&L reporting
  • P&L analysis of active lanes
  • Work with internal stakeholders to visualize cost optimisation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in a freight forwarding operations environment or knowledge of air freight, Export and Import Clearance
  • Prior experience in vendor management in the freight forwarding space
  • Profound understanding of airfreight technicalities, market demand and airfreight costs.
  • Deep understanding of the various regulatory compliance for import and export regulations of S.E.A. countries and ability to factor these considerations during the solution process.
  • Good knowledge of South East Asia flight routes, networks, and visibility of airline costing
  • Proven leadership skills with strong stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to converse in Mandarin is highly preferential for this position
