Our client is looking for a Regional Talent Acquisition Lead in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the role, you will drive the overall recruitment across SEA markets, including MY/SG/ PH/ID/VN markets. You will lead a team of recruiters and develop talent sourcing capability for the current and future hiring needs. You will also build strategic relationships with key leaders and other teams across the complex business/stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Hiring Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to align on hiring priorities, timelines, and constraints. Guide them through the recruitment process as needed.
  • Develop clear, accurate job descriptions that reflect role responsibilities and title expectations.
  • Post job ads across multiple platforms (company career site, job boards, international channels, etc.) to attract top talent.
  • Screen applications, assess candidate qualifications, and present a shortlist of fully vetted candidates to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews (in-person/virtual), gather feedback, and facilitate hiring decisions.
  • Manage offer negotiations (salary, start date, etc.) and ensure a smooth onboarding handoff to HR.


Employer Branding & Outreach

  • Execute regional employer branding strategies in alignment with global initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing/Comms to create engaging recruitment campaigns, social media content, and employee spotlights.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and university partnerships to expand talent pipelines.


Process & Reporting

  • Track and report on recruitment metrics (e.g., TA Tracker) for internal review.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve cost efficiency.
  • Maintain applicant data and support documentation of recruitment workflows.


Candidate Experience

  • Ensure positive candidate interactions at every stage, from application to onboarding.
  • Provide timely updates and constructive feedback to applicants.


Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience, including regional recruitment (Asia preferred).
  • Proven track record in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates for executive, professional, and technical roles.
  • Experience in business process optimization, identifying inefficiencies, and improving recruitment workflows.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and composure under pressure.
  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to inspire cross-functional teams, build trust with senior leadership, and drive alignment on hiring strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of Asian labor laws and industrial relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to engage stakeholders and close candidates effectively.
