Restaurant Training Specialist (Culinary)

Job Description:

1. Training Program Development:
   • Design, develop, and update training materials, including manuals, online modules, and videos.
   • Create training programs that cover various aspects of restaurant operations, including Nanyang, Western and Chinese Food stations besides fundamental ok kitchen skills like basic kitchen training programs.
   • Design LTO-related materials and conduct pre-Launch training
2. Training Delivery:
   • Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and standards, especially for kitchen employees.
   • Use various training methods, such as on-the-job training, classroom training, and e-learning, to accommodate different learning styles.
3. Evaluation and Improvement:
   • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance evaluations.
   • Continuously update training materials and methods based on feedback and industry best practices.
4. Support and Guidance:
   • Provide ongoing support and coaching to Kitchen staff to reinforce training and address performance issues.
   • Work with the Kitchen management team or any related department to identify skill gaps and recommend additional training or development opportunities.
5. Compliance and Safety:
   • Ensure all training programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
   • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and update training materials accordingly.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee progress.
   • Prepare regular reports on training outcomes and provide management insights.

Job requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a training role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using training software and e-learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
