What are you going to do?

As River Engineer and Project Manager at Laut Bahru, you take ownership of comprehensive river restoration projects from data gathering through implementation. You design cutting-edge river-cleaning technologies, oversee their deployment, and manage the entire project lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you deliver sustainable solutions that transform polluted waterways into thriving ecosystems.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze environmental data using cameras, authority databases, and partnerships with universities and NGOs
• Design and deploy specialized river-cleaning technologies tailored to specific waterway characteristics
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, deliverables, budgets and resource allocation
• Conduct hydrological studies and site assessments to create river-specific engineering solutions
• Monitor project budgets while ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with financial goals
• Coordinate with stakeholders including government agencies and community organizations

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Hydrology
• Minimum 5 years of experience in river engineering or water resource management
• Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and riverine ecosystems
• Proficiency with engineering design software including AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, and GIS
• Experience managing complex projects including budget oversight and team coordination
• Knowledge of river-cleaning technologies and sustainable waste management practices
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is advantageous
