- Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for safety and health at the construction site.
- Establish, review, and implement Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures for the company.
- Effectively communicate policies and procedures to all employees in order to enhance their awareness towards EHS
- Liaise with local authorities and government agencies on statutory / legislature compliance matters related to health, safety and environment.
- Act as the main controller for Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Perform HSSE inspection & HSSE walkabout to assess subcontractors’ HSSE performance in the project, if applicable.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections.
- Liaise with JKKP authority regarding erection & safety of scaffolding & machineries
- Ensure all personnel/workers wear safety equipment at work and adhere to the safety rules
- Initiate and enforce disciplinary actions against personnel/workers who fails to comply with the Company’s ESH policy
- Oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control of finished works at the site.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the project site to ensure compliance with Site Safety & Health Rules (SSHR).
- Conduct Safety Meeting and maintain necessary records.
- Investigate & review all accidents and health related incidents, and initiating countermeasures to prevent similar reoccurrence.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the management
- Requirements:
- Registered as Qualified Safety & Health Officer with DOSH (Department of Occupation Safety & Health, Malaysia) with a valid Green Book
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
- Familiar with OHSMS standards.
- Possess own transport, able to travel outstation & work independently with minimum supervision.
