What's the role?

Hilti is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer to build the new Engagement Marketing initiative to shape the future of sales and marketing. This is an excellent opportunity to join the global team at one of our strategic IT locations: PJ, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and work closely with headquarter (Liechtenstein) and the other IT locations of Hilti (Switzerland, France, and the United States).

• Engagement marketing is enabled by the technology provided by Salesforce.com Sales Cloud (CRM), Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Personalization and Data Cloud for connecting digital and physical customer seamlessly.
• This strategic project is strongly endorsed and driven by the senior management of the Hilti Group.
• We globally implement and rollout Marketing Cloud in 60+ countries around the world.
• We are supercharging our physical channels (more than 27,000 users) with quality and data-driven leads.
• The global team is staffed by over 150 internal and external team members from all over the world.
• We have a multi-scrum setup of 13 teams running in full-agile mode covering topics such as product development, platform governance, and global rollouts.

What does the role involve?

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will be working in the Marketing Cloud Platform scrum team, in one of our biggest projects and focus on the following responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional Agile teams to analyze, design and develop solutions of Hilti’s Engagement Marketing technology stack, which mainly compromises Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Personalization and Salesforce Data Cloud
• Develop, maintain, administrate, and provide operational support
• Work with a hands-on approach in developing solution designs for the integration of various applications and cloud platforms
• Own the whole process and technology stack, from the pipeline and toolchain definition, down to the implementation of build plans
• Monitor and fine-tune the CI/CD setup and proactively implement changes and fixes necessary to guarantee the continuity of delivery (GitLab, Jira, Shell Scripting)
• Support in the development of POCs to pilot markets to prove feasibility and business impact
• Become a key contributor to the Salesforce Developer communities in Hilti

What You Need Is

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent education with a CGPA of 3.0 or similar grading
• 5+ years of Salesforce experience with hands-on software development (e.g web development, Java, APEX, C# or equivalent)
• Experience in writing/documenting functional specification documentation and solution designing.
• A good command of English (spoken and written) as well as communication / convincing skills
• Ability and willingness to learn new things - Strong ability to pick up new technical topics quickly and apply them to assignments
• Strong command on SQL and Javascript.
• Experience in writing/documenting functional specification documentation and solution designing.
• Added advantage: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. bash, Python), source versioning systems and branching strategies (GIT, Feature Branch, Gitflow)
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and have the Agile mindset
• Added advantage - CI/CD know-how and able to identify pain points in the process and design/implement solutions to fill the gaps (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, Shell Scripting)
• Added advantage - Experience with Atlassian products ( JIRA, Confluence)
