SAP BASIS Consultant

Our client is an award-winning strategy & technology consulting firm with a dominant presence in Southeast Asia.

They are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented SAP BASIS Consultant to join their enterprise technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP system installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and support across environments such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager.

Please note that this is a CONTRACT, REMOTE position open to candidates residing in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei only. Minimum guaranteed duration will be 1 year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform SAP system administration (S/4HANA).
• Manage system start/stop, user administration, and background jobs.
• Transport management via STMS.
• Apply SAP Notes and kernel updates.
• Perform client administration (copy, refresh, delete).
• System monitoring and performance tuning (DB, memory, CPU).
• Configure and maintain SAProuter for secure remote system access.
• Coordinate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Handle DB backup and restore tasks.
• Participate in patching, upgrade, and support packages.
• Generate and support SAP license audit reports.
• Monitor system health and performance using EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports and proactively resolve issues.
• Implement and support database activities like data archiving, partitioning, and data masking.
• Install, configure, and maintain SAP Solution Manager or support SAP Cloud ALM configuration and operational monitoring.
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 10+ years of experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BASIS administration across ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP components.
• Experience with SAP installations and upgrades, SAP HANA database administration, and Solution Manager configuration.
• Familiarity with OS-level tasks (Linux/Windows), database platforms (HANA, Oracle, MS SQL), and virtualization.
• Working knowledge of transport management system (TMS), job scheduling, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with SAP landscape design, system sizing, and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Good understanding of system security, authorization concepts, and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
