What you'll be doing

You will work in the Rhenus global Security Operations Center as an Engineer. In this position you are responsible to design, implement, and maintain our SOAR platform to automate threat detection, incident response, and security workflows. Additionally, you will develop, deploy and operate the global cybersecurity solutions.

You will be contributing to that vision by…

• Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure and systems.
• Collaborate with security analysts and IT teams to mitigate risks and respond to threats.
• Develop and enforce security best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor system performance of the security tool landscape.
• Automate security processes (SOAR) and implement monitoring tools.
• Research and implement emerging security technologies and trends.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

What skills & experience you'll bring to us

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in security operations, cybersecurity, or a related role.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GIAC, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese or German is a plus.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions like Splunk or Sumologic, Endpoint Protection and Response Solutions like Microsoft Defender or Crowdstrike, Vulnerability management solutions
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash is an advantage.
• First experience with IaaC (Infrastructure as code) solutions like Terraform
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection/ prevention systems.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (CIS, NIST, ISO, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive security matters
