Senior Application Engineer (FanWall/Custom Thermal)

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice on Vertiv product application and selection to SEA&NA Market Units.
• Provide engineering design and installation of Cooling product, particularly in Data Center environment and others such as Light industrial and Lab.
• Write technical proposal, design presentation and to provide engineering drawings in AutoCAD.
• Generate Bill of Quantity and technical specification for proposed design.
• Maintain the drawings (soft/hard copies), catalogues, white papers, application and technical reference materials to ensure that they are updated, orderly and readily accessible.
• Exercise sense of urgency, be analytical and professional in the approach and cultivate long term customer relationship and where possible strive for win-win solutions.
• Cultivate a work approach of pro-activeness, keeping up to date the knowledge and application of company products/services and other related services, while continually pursue self/personal development by self analysis, reading, benchmarking against the best in the industry and practice.
• Conduct comprehensive market trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential risk.
• Perform detailed competitor analysis to understand market positioning and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and implement effective pricing positioning strategies to ensure competitive advantage and profitability for Mega Project.
• Feedback to the Product Team on the product requirement and improvement based above discovery.
• Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer process.
• Analyze CFD simulation results to provide insights and recommendation for design improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client to integrate CFD analysis into project development and optimization.

Requirements:

• University/College Degree or professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Major in Refrigeration, or HVAC is preferable.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in related application & technical field. Experience with Data Center, CRAC units or any related Field.
• Understand the Data Center Standard is added advantages (uptime, BICSI, DCDC, TIA).
• Ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual and team member.
• Computer literacy.
• Autocad design skill and CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamic) simulation skill is added advantages.
