Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team in a managerial position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business analyst responsibilities, operational excellence, and team management, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the planning, design, and implementation of business requirements and system modifications in projects/ initiatives.
  • Leads the business requirements gathering with relevant stakeholders. Analyse and documents / reviews complex business processes requirements and communicates with the relevant parties.
  • Creates / reviews complex test case scenarios to be used in testing, monitors, and review testing of applications to ensure requirements are incorporated.
  • Coordinates and manages business analyst tasks within projects, offering guidance and support. This may involve planning, allocating, and monitoring the work of other business analysts.
  • Actively participates in technical reviews to guarantee that change requirements are accurately captured and implemented.
  • Provides time estimates for tasks related to the project, assisting in effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Perform analysis on operational metrics and collaborate with stakeholders for improvement opportunities. This includes identifying & implementing initiatives for business efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish datasets for periodic operational metrics reporting, leveraging on tools such as Ms PowerBI.
  • Adapts and applies different delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Lean / Six Sigma.

Required

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / business analytics / computer science / data analytics.
  • 8 or more years of experience in a business analyst role, process improvement, data analyst or similar capacity.
  • Proven experience in relationship management, business analysis, process improvement, and project management within a corporate environment.
  • Experience working in business processes and re-engineering including simplification, digitalization, and automation implementations.
  • Experience in new product and new distribution channel implementation
  • Strong Financial Services or Insurance knowledge.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, analysis tools, and methodologies.
  • Delivered projects using methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

Preferred:

  • Good understanding / working experience in computer programming concepts and data analytics.
  • Good understanding of intelligent automation technologies and capabilities.
  • General insurance or CX/UI/UX domain capabilities.
  • Yellow Belt / Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification.

  • Possesses excellent analytical skills that enable the identification of root causes, assessment of opportunities, and driving of effective solutions.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates flexibility as needed, takes the lead on initiatives, and shows ownership and accountability.
  • Capable of quickly adapting to new methodologies, working under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
  • Possesses advanced investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to set team and individual goals, manage multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously while appropriately balancing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Possesses the ability to integrate customer experience into business process development and identify opportunities.
  • Customer journey mapping or low/high fidelity prototyping skills is an added advantage.
