Senior Chemist

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Responsible for routine laboratory quality control analysis
• Perform quality control tests and maintain detailed records of all experiments and results.
• Obtains samples for routine quality control purposes personally from the production processes.
• Verifies all internal and external test reports and certificates.
• Reports to the plant manager on all discrepancies/disputes of the quality of the products.
• Carry out internal calibration of laboratory equipment
• Carry out analysis using XRF analysis
• Update product analysis for all products that have been tested
• Train lab assistants on new equipment and analysis techniques.
• Arrange for external calibration of lab equipment and external analyses of products
• Restock lab equipment and chemicals necessary for testing
• Ensure all laboratory documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for QAQC departments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience with chemicals and testing
• Preferably a registered Chemist in Institute Kimia Malaysia (IKM)
• To work in Kuantan, Pahang
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in laboratory equipment and techniques, including XRF analysis
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance regulation
• An RPO certificate is preferable and will enhance your application

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8.00am-5.00pm)
