Senior EHS Specialist - Your future position?

Senior EHS Specialist - Your future position?
As the Senior EHS Specialist, you will provide support in daily operations and focus on one or more EHS specializations. You will also help promote the EHS culture throughout the organization. You will directly report to the EHS Manager while being based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:
- Support management in ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and report concerns to the EHS Manager while collaborating with agencies (e.g., DOSH, DOE, Bomba).
- Maintain EHS management documentation and an organized filing system for compliance
- Coordinate EHS internal and external activities, including EHS plans, programs, and training sessions.
- Assist in incident, injury, and complaint investigations, proposing corrective actions for implementation.
- Evaluate EHS regulatory permitting requirements and submit permit applications to applicable agencies.
- Develop compliance training materials and update and circulate EHS KPI performance reports, besides participating in the development of EHS procedures and policies.
- Organize site safety inspections or Gemba Walks, follow up on audit findings, and manage EHS committee meetings by preparing minutes and action item follow-ups.
- Support risk assessments and provide actionable solutions to minimize risks, updating HIRAC and Environmental Aspect and Impact documentation.

Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or EHS.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in EHS within manufacturing-related industries.
- Have passed NIOSH Safety & Health Officer examination.
- DOE competent person (Scheduled Waste Management) certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledgeable in all 3 pillars of EHS (Environment, Safety & Health) practices with experience managing risk assessments, audits, internal staff training, Gemba walks & a Sustainability program.
- Well-versed in EHS regulations and local law compliance, with experience dealing with legal authorities such as DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, ST, and MOH.
- Familiarity with legal compliance platforms such as myKKP (DOSH), myPremis, eSWIS, Kualiti Alam (DOE), and e-Bless (BOMBA).
- Adaptable; independent and proactive.
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
- Proficient in softwares such as Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Fluent in English and local languages.
