Senior Engineer Product Validation

The ideal candidate will provide technical support to the Technical Marketing team, validating product value propositions and performing benchmarking across various applications such as motor drives, power conversion, and battery protection. With over 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering and semiconductor knowledge, they will manage test setups, analyze data, create test reports, and contribute to design optimization efforts. Additionally, the candidate will mentor peers, assist in the development of application notes and layouts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Act as the main technical support for Technical Marketing team in Villach to validate products value proposition in customer systems during development projects
• Be the local spokes man to PL management.
• Measure Infineon components as well as competitor benchmarking, in motor drives, battery protection and DCDC Power Conversion Applications,DCDC Buck Converters, Brick Converters for Telecom, SMPS forServers/Telecom and Adapters
• Drive tests of leading-edge devices on specially designed boards to support the development and optimization of new technologies
• Assist Technical Marketing team in writing Application notes, layout-& board design
• Provide guidance for your local peers, in technical and personal development
• Be locally responsible to organize and analyze data and generate test reports
• Contribute to peer reviews of internal development documents
• Create new application test setups (e.g. design of application testboard) including test automation
• Interface with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues requiring in depth product knowledge
• Actively engages with Technical Marketing team to explore new technology, best in cost design, etc. to achieve competitive advantages.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree from a university / university of applied sciences in Electrical Engineering or comparable
• 5+ years proven hands on work experience in electrical engineering laboratory environment, including using lab equipment
• Profound knowledge of semiconductors, especially Power MOSFETs preferable.
• Experience in analysis of measurement data and presentation of results for internal and external stakeholders
• Capability to work independently and provide guidance and technical training for teammates
• Programming skills in C, C++, Visual Studio, Matlab
• PCB Design (Allegro, Altium Designer) and the ability to review existing layouts
• Profound MS Office skills
