Senior Engineer Quality

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Qualification Engineer to define and implement qualification strategies based on automotive standards and customer requirements. In this role, you will manage qualification tests, ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, and lead problem-solving efforts to address any qualification failures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of qualification plans while adhering to high quality standards.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Define Qualification strategies based on Automotive standards plus customer & market requirements, implement these strategies, and assess their results. Understanding of Q100, Q006
• Ensure the fulfilment of time and cost according to agreed qualification plans / schedules through effective management of the preparation and execution of the qualification tests
• Provide reports to project leaders and other project team core competencies
• Provide qualification documentation fulfilling internal as well as customer standards
• Drive problem solving process (8D) of qualification fails and own the process of finding solutions fast
• Ensures that customers receive appropriate PPAP documentation.
• Participate in focus and task force teams as part of crisis management resulting from critical deviations in qualifications.
• Ensure involvement of QA experts if applicable (for instance Functional Safety / ISO 26262)
• Drive Product Monitoring for a specific group of products with all related aspects: setup of monitoring plans, ensure timely availability of results, assess results and react with problem solving methodology in case of deviations.
  
  

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a comparable field.
• At least 2+ years of experience in Quality Management with a focus on product and/or technology development, preferably in a semiconductor or electronics environment.
• Familiarity with automotive qualification standards such as AEC Q100 and AEC Q006 is essential.
• Deep understanding of automotive quality management systems, processes, and methods, and how they apply to qualification processes.
• Understanding of functional safety and automotive-specific standards, such as ISO 26262, is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, with the ability to communicate technical details clearly to internal teams and external customers
